Literature Text

I've known hatred:
I've known hatred as ancient as the world and older
then the flow of human blood in human veins.

My soul has grown treacherous as hatred.

I soiled the shores of Normandy when dawns were
     young.
I destroyed homes in the City of Troy and it
     prevented me to sleep.

I looked upon the Amazon Rain Forests and raised
    Monsters of Industry above it.
I heard the cries of the Trail of Tears the Native
Americans went down to Oklahoma and I've
seen it's sore feet turn red in the sunset.

I've known hatred:
Ancient, boiling hatred.

My soul has grown treacherous as hatred.
This is a poem I did for a Written Communications class I'm taking now. Also, I should mention this is a 'rewrites' of "The Negro Speaks of Rivers", a poem by Langston Hughes.

If you notice any spelling mistakes [like thak possible one right there] then tell me right away so I can make the corrections.
